The site, 5 blocks from downtown Petaluma, is a model of Smart Growth – development that attempts to curb urban sprawl, minimizes air and water pollution, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, encourage cleanup and reuse of contaminated properties, and preserves natural lands.  The community is hidden down a landscaped private drive with preserved large native oak trees.  The homes are around a U-shaped courtyard open on the east side with magnificent views of Sonoma Mountain. About a quarter acre is sloped meadow with fruit trees. The site is served by regular city services.
